Born in the southern region of Provence in France, Rabbi Dovid Kimchi was one of the great Jewish scholars of the 12th Century. Known by the acronym of his name, The Radak, he wrote extensive commentary on Navi and other books of Tanach, along with pivotal works that dealt with Hebrew dikduk (grammar). His grammatical style had an enormous influence on Jewish scholarship as well as Christian Bible study even to this day.
